The Great West Project website is looking for local hunters to share their stories.
Hello Alberta Outdoorsmen community,
We are a group of passionate outdoors men who are launching a unique hunting website this spring. We will be providing beginner and intermediate level hunters with access to regional and species specific hunting knowledge.
We realize that not everyone is a Cameron Hanes or Jim Shockey. We believe big names celebrity hunters have an important role in our community and are grateful for their advocacy and work. We also know that they have their limits as a teaching resource for new hunters. We believe that the most intimate hands-on knowledge that a new hunter can receive exists within the years of experience of local hunters, guides, and outdoors men/women like those on this forum.
Our website, The Great West Project, provides stories, know-how, and real world advice on a region by region and species by species basis. We will be featuring the work, stories, and insights of dozens of other local western hunters, guides, and outdoors men and women.
We want to hear form you if you have a great hunting story or expertise with a certain species or region.
Most contributors will be sharing 1-3 articles per year, depending on how their hunts turn out, their schedule, their areas of expertise, and where they are hunting. Our contributors will be sharing what they are best at, and most passionate about.
In return for sharing we would like to showcase you as a contributor and would link and highlight any of your social media accounts, channels, web pages, or projects that you are apart of to drive more traffic your way. Our end goal is to connect beginner and intermediate level hunters with others who have valuable insights and knowledge to share.
Cheers,
The Great West Project team
