Default Vortex Viper or Ziess Conquest?

Thinking of a new pair of binos. What are your opinions on either the Vortex Vipers or the Ziess Conquest? Thanks for your help and opinions. Have a great weekend.

Not sure you'll find a set of regular Conquests around anymore but be sure to check out the Conquest HDs. I think looking through both pair will quickly make your mind up.

I've recently did a total swap from running all zeiss to selling everything I had and replacing them with vortex, and I'm glad I did, both are good glass but two Broken erectors in one year was enough 5-6 month wait on warranty issues just couldn't compare to vortex customer service. The vipers are half the price or less then the zeiss, try the razor hd's, you'll be impressed.

Zeiss all the way. Having compared some of the new scopes, I am currently trying a Sightron on one of my range guns. To my eyes, the Sightron is better optically than an equal priced Vortex.

I must admit I haven't tried the Zeiss, but I bought a pair of Vortex Vipers 2 years ago and love them. Looking forward to trying a Vortex scope very soon.

I bought a viper hs scope after comparing the conquest side by side. Both are good, and the glass I couldn't tell much of a difference. I was set on the ziess, but the vortex was cheaper and I liked the reticle and 2.5-10 with 30mm tube. I love the scope. No doubt the high end ziess are better then the high end vortex, but the conquest is a long shot from ziess high end line. You can't tell me they have the same quality as their $1500+ models and sell for only 600, they're cutting corners somewhere I'm sure. Likely a built in a different factory maybe?

Absolutely there is a reason they cost less. Always important to compare apples to apples. Then figure out what apple is best in that price range.

Does anyone have any expierience with Zeiss warranty? I am very close to buying a pair of Zeiss range finding Binos. I'd like to pull them out of the States for obvious reasons, but wonder if Gentec will honor the warranty in Canada?

I have sent them an email yesterday, but don't expect to har anything til Monday-Tuesday. Just wondering if anyone has any first hand expierience.
