The objective lens on my scope is loose so its clinking on the tube as it moves. Never got round to getting it fixed last season but want to get it done now
It looks like it can be tightened but I don't have a tool and don't want to take it off and send it to Nikon.
Trace scope repair..... or just take a small bladed screw driver and carefully turn the lens cap ring in a couple turns

Trades I would interested in:
- Sightron rifle scopes, 4.5x14x42mm or 4x16x42mm
especially! with the HHR reticle. (no duplex pls.)
- older 6x fixed scopes with fine X or target dot.
Put a bit of soft wrap or Kleenex stuffed into the objective and send it in. Trying to tighten it or remove it yourself could well void the warranty. Scope is pretty much pooched anyhow, can't hurt it shipping it loose.
If the lens is loose, the seal was broken, and it will likely fog up in changing conditions, The scope needs to be sent in to be purged and pressurized with inert gas.

If the scope is worth the hassle...sounds like a china special....more time then it is worth.
