Default Happy birthday to me.

A couple of days late, but my search was long before I found one. And then boom, there were 2. So I had to make a call on that. Anyhow, I bought it from a nice guy on CGN and picked it up this evening in south Calgary. A beautiful minty Browning B78 chambered 30-06 with Talleys. Yeah, I know pics or it didn't happen...lol. But I'm going to wait 'till morning to take pics outside of this shiny beauty and blind your peepers. Beats Hallmark all day long.

Happy to hear that the deal worked out, if you got it for what you had planned to offer, you got a great deal.

We cherish the gifts from loved-ones.

We use the gifts from ourselves.

Another year older my friend.
May you find low winds, readable mirage, and tight groups.

Nice score on the rifle.

I was going to suggest that in another couple years he could get into a bar legally.

Oh, I see no reason why he can't get into a bar right now, but it may take a few more years before he can get on some of the rides with the signs that say
"You have to be this tall to go on this ride"
Oh man, I can't stop myself!!

Happy belated, buddy. That is a stunning rifle. My goodness gracious. Likely as nice a production rifle as I have ever seen. Why the guy sold that I do no know.

Hopefully, I have time to roll a few rounds for it this weekend. I'll rummage through my stuff as I have a couple of Leupold 'round here somewhere although I don't think either will be permanent. I had a nice Baush & Lomb 3200 Elite, 3-9 that I just sold with a gun. That would have been a nice match. What to scope it with? nothing like a 50mm objective, nothing with parallax adjustment. A nice something preferably with a gloss finish to match the metal. Suggestions?

Thanks Colin. But what bolt are you talking about? it's a falling block. Mind you, the cheek piece is on "my" side....the left side for a RH shooter.

Sorry, that's what I meant.
Mind you I've never found a stock with a rollover comb to be comfortable. My jaw is just too fat I guess. So I suppose its on the right side after all

Very nice, I would be extremely jealous if it wasn't a 30-06.
