Default Ok. This is getting serious

Where the heck are the dragonflies? I’ve only seen a few and the skeeters are atrocious. I thought they arrived before now by a few weeks?

I'm North of Stony and I have swarms of dragonflies at my place. I have a few beaver ponds/swamps around though. I was amazed at how many I saw yesterday in the morning. They were hunting close to the ground since the mosquitos were staying low in the anticipation of rain.

I have bats around my neighbourhood.
They take care of the mosquitoes for the most part.

Strangely enough - we had a ton of mosquitos a few weeks ago - they were brutal.

Over the last two weeks - with all the rain - I expected it to get worse - but the mosquitos seem to be gone.

I'm just wondering - certainly not complaining !!!! It's nice to be able to enjoy my back yard and have the doors open to let the breeze in for a change.
