Holy begeebus dude
I just sat in my yard and watched the most amazing lighting show Ive seen in years, only a few drops of rain and not much thunder but holy crap. I got over 18 minutes of NON stop light show on video, I am going to upload it to YT then I will post the link. It looked like a nuclear war, and it was worth donating half my blood to the hordes of frikkin blood sucking flying demons. Im still pumped up on adrenalin it was insane and awe inspiring. it came up from the south and headed off North East . I love storm chasing without even having to leave my yard!!!! and no hail

We had two thunders in South East Calgary that rattled the house. It was like an earthquake. I don't get scared easily, but I got this time.

That storm passed over Taber and was headed your way. I went out of the garage at a buddies and seen it. One lightning strike was close and we could feel the air come one the garage

It is even better watching the video, I dont have to hold the phone in one hand and fight off the thirsty hordes with the other too bad they didnt drain that yappy dog

it was definitely worth a few quarts of blood!  now I think I need to edit it with some music just for fun. at least we only got a few raindrops and no hail! you can watch it double speed too and its only half as long

I just got home from work and was sitting down and flash bang, and flash flash flash. Not as many bangs as there were flashes.
It was a very interesting storm. Especially when the radar from the weather network showed very little clouds over the area.
Your video is intense.

Reminds me of firefights in Iraq. Closest thing I’ve seen to the light display of a battle at night. Hope you didn’t get any fire starts out of it!

Quite the light show here (west of Edmonton) early Saturday morning. Also big rain. On the radar, it looked like it would pass quickly. But it approached fast and then seemed to stall. It poured on us for almost an hour.

Pretty good one went thru here for an hour or so last nite, after midnite, not a drop of rain, was a few miles north though, maybe it rained there. 'Ol wind has sure been howling all day today though, if it wasn't quite dry enough to harvest yesterday, sure will be today.
