Default I need help!

I am looking for a mulie buck in either 339 or 340 and am having absolutely no luck. Tried all my usual spots but zippo. Was wondering if anyone would be so kind as to point me in a direction where I may have better luck in one of these zones. I have been hunting down around the Peco Inn on the Elk river road in 339 and west of Wolf Lake in 340. Any help be greatly appreciated.

For what its worth I don't hunt that area a lot but was out there today, was that your truck parked just west of the Peco Inn? The most mulies I've seen in that area have been right along the Pembina river closer toward Lodgepole, anywhere there are some river flats with some hillsides or valley slopes. In my travels in this area when I see muleys, and I don't see a lot of them, 90% of the time they tend to be within a mile of a stream or river of some sort. Have also seen them on the south side of 339 again near the brazeau river valley. Can count on one hand the number of muleys I've seen anywhere else other than near some sort of a running water course in that area. In my experience they just seem oriented to the creeks and their valleys, they like to bed on the sides of the valleys and feed in the flats along the rivers.

I haven't been that way for a couple of years but I have seen lots of does off the Owl River road in the big valleys toward the south. Also saw bucks toward what they call Sabre road now. Instead of turning right on Owl River road, keep going straight to the East. You end up almost straight south of the plant. I've also seen quit a few on the big pipeline where Sabre ends at the last well sight. Same pipeline crosses just before Pecos and the road to get back there is first left after Pecos. That pipeline is prob your best bet as I've seen lots there in the early Elk season. Theres nice chop block just before the last well sight with a good old trail going to the pipeline. Sit on the knoll just to the west and watch both directions.. Also other chop block and open spots if you walk or quad west. Hope this helps as you are always helping others. Let me know the results as I almost went back there this year.
