Default Celery Juice

For a few weeks I have been wondering what's causing the sky rocketing price of celery stacks. It went from around $ 2.00 to $ 6.00 !
That could be the cause:
http://www.cbc.ca/news/canada/celery...lace-1.5113735
I guess celery stacks won't be part of my diet for a while...

My computer doesn't seem to like CBC articles and I can't open them, but isn't juiced celery essentially water?

Price of caesers just doubled in all the bars, unless you go for the carrot stick option.

Celery is loaded with nitrates that convert to nitrites when digested. Can't imagine drinking a 16 oz. glass of nitrate laden juice can be good for you??

Nothing to do with food, just another yuppy craze. Who would have thought of drinking coffee from a coffee bean that has passed through a cats gut.Or eating raw fish. Ok slam away. I am trying to develop a s--- sandwich i can start selling first in California and watch it take off. Hey the arctic hare do it.

The flake that they noted as being responsible for the trend is a real weirdo. Either he believes his own sales pitch or he’s fully aware of the bunk he’s claiming and is choosing to profit from it anyways. That one graphic was hysterical where it claims “contains undiscovered sodium cluster salts”. If it’s undiscovered how do you know it’s in there in the first place? If it’s undiscovered how do they claim that substances unknown to them or legitimate science as beneficial? If it’s unknown it could not be just as easily be detrimental or simply neutral? That’s the type of weirdo who should get their internet access cut off.

No worries he is a "Medical Medium" so no need to question or fact check right?

"William calls himself a "medical medium" and claims to speak with spirits who provide him with advanced health information"

This quote is just pure gold. Shows how stupid masses can be to follow diet/medical advice from literally any quack.

I guess if you can sell "Raw Water" (un-purified potential harmful water) and "Canned Fresh Air" (literally a can of air) under the guise of health then why not some celery water?

At least it brings down toxic liver heat!

The scariest part of that is next to his Instagram logo: 1.8 million followers. Boy was PT Barnum ever right....

Now I’m wondering what undiscovered compounds are in the Cheez Whiz that I like in my celery sticks?

A couple years ago I was getting flack for making celery soup for a group of old duffers. Apparently celery is “loaded” with asphalts and bad for us.
So I did some reading.... apparently celery is one of the best things to eat to bring down high blood presssure. The Japanese use it extensively for that use.

I thought I was going nuts!, me and the kids wanted to make potato salad and needed the celery. The 20lbs of potatoes was $1.98 then went to grab the celery and I was blown away!!

hopefully, this isn't a sign for pricing to come!!

Eating a few heads of celery is an old adult film trick to increase the volume, lubricity and viscosity of copious amounts of man juice while increasing the strength of contractive forces.. Knock a fly off the the ceiling.

Good for gout too

Just yesterday my Wife was out buying ingredients to make a soup and she told me about the cost of celery. The soup doesn't have any celery in it.

Great hobby. You don't only get to smell it but also eat ;-)

if some TV schmuck like Oprah told people that shoving a garter snake up their arse would detoxify their liver and lower their carbon footprint, there would be a shortage of garter snakes.

Then a year later, someone would start a bs foundation to save the garter snake.

The endless cycle of bs is truly amusing.

And I couldn’t care less if celery was $916/lb because it has the nutritional value of a mushroom and I wouldn’t exert the energy to reach for it in the produce section

I cant wait until Mother Earth decides she has had enough of these “save Mother Earth” types. Chick has been around for 4.5 billion years. Im sure she doesn’t need some millennial with a degree in Fartology trying to help
