Training Birds

Any sources around Edmonton for training birds? Pheasants, pigeons, chukars.

Check a local pest control company, some live trap pigeons as pests and then kill them, they will happily sell them to you live.

There are usually people selling male quail for cheap or giving them away for free.

They worked good for my puppy, he could pick them up very easily

I got mine off of Kijiji.

Most of them could barely fly though. Not sure if they were too young or just not that interested in flushing.
