Default WMU 410 non trophy sheep

I’m considering trying to pull my non trophy sheep in wmu 410 this year or possibly next year. Would like to hear about past experiences in wmu 410 The season is shorter this year, just September-October now and down to a quota of 10 tags I thought I saw. Just looking for general info, not looking for any secret info or anything just the basics really on the hunt and curious on how the hunt has been the last few years. Pm is open if that is better. Thank you in advance

I used to hunt solo up there all the time for sheep 40 years ago. Just on a general sheep tag. It went to end of Nov I used to hunt the hills just north of Canmore But I think its all no trespassing now . Parking on the hyw was hard to find ,as there were only a few spots . Hunters every where . Normally 20 lazy hunter sitting in the trucks just glassing for sheep at that one lookout parking area just before Canmore . There were so many hunter on that mountain ,i had a shot on a nice Ram that got spooked ,just to find some other guy walking in that direction and not even seeing him . That was my last hunt up there after tring 5 years in a row . Gas was getting to 30 cents a L to fill up and that was a lot back then coming from Edmonton. A lot less hunters in a riffle zone . Must be 100s of hunter now hunting sheep in 410 on any given weekend . Since your pulling a tag next year ,go up and scout during the season where everyone else is hunting so you can stay away from the crowds .
Back in the 80s i just did a motel hunt and really did not know where to go that had rams .Would of been nice to have a partner . I was young being in my 20s. Hardly anyone even rifle hunted back then . Times have changed
Good luck ,and please report back how the hunt was .

good hunt with a few spots to consider, pull the tag and you will have an epic hunting experience. its bow and arrow hunting so hunters are usually not an issue at all.

Is 410 sheep all on draw now for Rams and ewes ?
That would make a big difference now having less hunters and less spooked sheep.

For rams its general archery up to end of Oct, draw for Nov. Ewes is draw everywhere in the province.
