Ya the brunt of that storm was north of you. Lots of sheet lightning and a decent amount of rumbles , but certainly much needed rain in and around town.

Or a little further to red deer?

Good to hear there is rain. Weatherman is saying there should be some tomorrow too.

I had 4" rain last week tuesday, it was way to late to help much
The grasshoppers are easily keeping up with the pasture regrowth.
There won't be a second cut on the hay fields either.
I had 100 rounds of sticks from 200 acre,..750 bales short of target

i think vulcan wouldve got it good. all the lightning and dark clouds were north but not by much. 10 secs between lightning and thunder.

Thanks to the Cowboy to lent us a horse and let Stinky be a cowboy for a day and let him split logs with an axe, I am sure everyone who was witness to that all night got a kick out of that.

No rain in the Edmonton area. Could use a week or two of steady rain. A lot of trees are gonna die off this year. Can see effects of the lack of ground moisture in them now. Leaves curling !

We received a good down pour west of High River. Started at about 0300 and it's still spitting a bit. As others stated, good to have but a bit late.

I have seen some of those pics from town here. Friends of ours have 5" of water in their basement. I woke up at 5:30 to a very bright flash of lightening and the sizzle and crack of thunder. The storm has hung over town since then. Luckily our power is still on and our sump pump is running well... Fingers crossed. My lawn sure can use some but that's enough.
