They are pretty awesome! I have a thicker pair and a thin pair.
Thin: on the hot days when your pushing bush to get to the spots, they keep your legs from getting beat up and scratched. Very comfortable.
Thick neo: used these on a glacial fed river that usually gives you pins and needles in a matter of minutes. These were great! Kept me warm all day and able to stay in the water for a long time. I’m thinking I’ll be able to wear them long into October and possibly early spring.
Pair the neoprene with their guide wading sock and gravel gained and you will be good to go. I wear them with my wading boots.
Only really winter water, I think you’ll still want waders to keep you dry and warm.
