Default Mathews VXR 28 or 31.5

Hello who has the Mathews VXR
28 or 31.5 , is one more forgiving then the other ? I see both have a 6 inch brace height , looking for a new set up next year something smooth and little more forgiving getting old lol

I don't own either but I shot the 31.5 at Jimbow's along with the Bowtech Revolt 33. Both shot really well but I end up with the Bowtech for a couple of small differences. I would go with the 31.5 if you are set on Matthews...it shot really well.

I do not own either however the one piece of valuable advice that I think that I have for you even though I am relatively new to the whole archery world is to go and try them for yourself. Everyone likes the feel of something different so I would most definitely go and try them and get a feel for yourself. Hope that helped and good luck finding something!

I own a vxr 28 and it’s an amazing bow. But I’m upgrading to the 31.5 due to draw length reasons. But if your draw length is under 28 inches then both are amazing bows ! Dead silent vibration free smooth draw cycle can’t go wrong either way

My wife is shooting the 28 and it is a nice bow. Shoots great. She is a 26 inch draw and we do a lot of spot and stalk hunting, so for crawling around the shorter bow is nice. For me I would go with the 31 for better string angle. But is all depends on what you are going to do with it. In ground blinds the shorter bows are nice to have.

The short bow is nice for hunting; the longbow is excellent for shooting. It depends on what is important to you
