Default Savage 12 308 value?

So i have the chance to pick up a savage model 12 in 308 pre accutrigger but i cant seem to find much information as to how much it is worth. Gun is blued right handed with internal box mag and comes with a one piece base. Asking price is $700. thanks for the help

Wood stock? Sporter barrel or varmint. Should be the heavy varmint barrel. I'd say 700 is reasonable, depending on condition of course. A new 12 is a thousand in most places. If it was a lefty I'd buy it.
Keep in mind the scope base is probably worth 80 by itself.

Definitely not in the class of the new ones. Accutrigger is great and the new synthetic stocks have an aluminum spine that keeps them stable. That knocks the price down some. That barrel adds value but that aside I would hesitate to pay much more than a new axis price for it. Offer 550 - you'll be paying a chunk to bed the action and stabilize the stock. At that point if it isn't shooting well under moa somethings wrong.

700 will get you a new savage 16. Sporter barrel but it'll shoot like a laser beam out of the box. And it's stainless to boot.

There are plenty of excellent 700 dollar rifles out there. I'm biased on savages just because of the availability of left hand actions.
