Default Hammer Bullets

I have a real fussy 338 that’s been giving me fits trying to find anything that will shoot. I decided to order some Hammers. This is the very first load I’ve tried. I might become a fan.

ive heard very good things about them.

the only downside is apparently they inflated their published BC numbers

I would say your search is over. Impressive for first load with them.

Definitely looking promising. Shouldn't take much work to get them down to one hole playing with jump, once you figure out max charge.

They shot well in my 6.5 PRC when I tried them. Were even better with a bit of a crimp. Losts of well documented info on that as well.

I dropped them after reading a tonne of "fails to open" while using them. For a new bullet, and reading that much about their fails, I decided to go with the bergers.

I know, you can't always trust what you read, but I did consider it all, and made my decision. We all have to make it sooner or latter on things.

I considered buying some for my .303, but with having such success with the 150 TSX Barnes I decided to stay with them.
I have enough to last the rest of my hunting days.....

Not anymore, his prices went way up. 292.50 for one 100 rnd box of 145 284
Plus his shipping was not good, every extra box of bullets added and shipping doubled
Plus $15 handling charge

George’s has lost a customer in me. He charged me $75 shipping and sent my bullets in an $18 flat rate box. What a scam.

Shot this group at 250 yards today using different brass, primer and powder charge. That’s with a full value 5 mph cross wind. Holy cow do they shoot.

That has yet to be determined. I’m hoping to rectify that shortly.
