Default Looking for 4x4 ATV riders to come check out a trail in Thorhild County

Looking for 4x4 ATV riders to come check out a trail in Thorhild. I been on the trail a few times, it starts North West Thorhild County and goes to Athabasca County. it's a looong trail. It's a bit over grown in some spots but the rough areas I already cleared. I would like to see just how far it goes. Send me a message if you interested. You will need 4x4 and it's be aware it's not the smoothest of trails, but the most adventurous trail I have ever been on.

Heres a clip of some of us on that trail that I am speaking of: https://vimeo.com/161910174

Here's my youtube chan: https://www.youtube.com/watch?v=lwQmol1XEO8

it's crown land, but and a mix of cutlines and atv trails. Some of it used to be old trap line trails.

It actually gets dryer as the summer goes on. Not many know about these trails so it doesn't get all tore up like other popular trails. That's why I want to ride there.

Looks like a nice trail I'd be all over that invitation if it were 4 months ago.

The irony is, now that you posted this info,
it will be popular..say good bye to this 'once' unknown
piece of undisturbed trail heaven..will never understand
why people post stuff like this/hot fishing spots/etc..yup,
enjoy another trail torn up/littered, by the now informed masses.

If you like long tours, try the iron horse trail. It's over 200 km long, starts west of smoky lake and goes to cold lake or branches off towards Lindbergh. All flat and kind of boring ride but there are places to get off the trail for fun. Goes through multiple towns so fuel and food are not a concern. Once you get east of elk point it's very beautiful as it follows the banks of the NSR River. There's a good sturgeon hole by the Windsor salt plant. Google iron horse trail for more info. All towns are quad friendly.

For some reason, I find it unsettling that the helmet does not move.

For the ATV haters.....I doubt that these trails will destroy the forest more than building a road through it and paving it over that you use to get there. A large portion of it is abandoned railway line.

You may have recently found those trails but they are not a real big secret. There's an ATV club in Athabasca (?) that maintains and rides it. You can actually find a trail map online. You may have found some newer seismic lines though.

Check out snowandmud.com you will find plenty of great people to ride with. Watch out for that crazy rubber chicken though as he seems to bail quite often

I don't ride or hunt in that area at all.
