Default Goose decoy paint

So I just finished my fiberglass repairs on 9 magnum goose decoys. They are used and really need to be repainted.

Anyone know what kinds of flat color paint a fellow uses on a project like this?

Default Deco Art Traditions

You need water proof and dull so Traditions fits the bill. I use it for my wooden decoys but have touched up quite a few plastic duck and goose decoys over the years. I bring mine in from Willy at the Duck Blind in Michigan as a carvers supply place but I have heard some craft place in Toronto or Mississauga area carries it.
Some of the high end blues are $7 or $ 8 US for a 4 ounce bottle but you should only need black white burnt sienna and burnt umber for geese and the last time I brought them in they were about $5 a bottle plus shipping.

For something a little more local, Rustoleum flat white and flat black. If you want to touch up the bodies, get a spray can of flat brown, and Krylon Ultra flat tan, and just lightly dust them till you get what you want. Do the body paint first, then brush on your black for the heads and tails, then do your white last...

Default Thanks guys!

I was also going to order a couple of big bags of black flocking stuff on eBay.
Sprinkle it over the paint job to reduce any potential glare factor.

When I'm done imma gonna try and figure out how to post pics here!

Should be a great goose season
