Default Black Powder Revolver

Hey all,

First time posting on here. So I apologize in advance if this has already come up.

I'm a fairly avid hunter, own a hunting rifle, shot gun etc., but really want to get into shooting Black Powder Revolvers. From my research I understand that Black Powder Revolvers are classified as a restricted Firearm in Canada. So I have gone and taken my Restricted Exam, and now I'm waiting on my PAL.

So my question is, can anyone point me in a good direction to purchase a good Black Powder Revolver, and supplies? The type I'm looking for is something similar to a 1851 Colt, Griswold, Army, Navy, etc. Also any gun ranges were you can shoot Black Powder Pistols would be great too. I live in Calgary. Any help on this would be greatly appreciated!

Thanks in advance, and can't wait to hear your recommendations.

Milarm in Edmonton is a Uberti dealer,

I have a Uberti .44 1860 army, its a well made gun and lots of fun to shoot and very accurate. I use 30 grains 2FF and a wonder wad (to prevent chainfire) under a .44 ball with a Remington cap the (CCI’s are too long)

Good luck and happy shooting
