How old of ammo? I'll take it instead of disposing it. I'm in Calgary

Many Ranges have “disposal” bins for misfires/unwanted live rounds.

Why just hand something in to be destroyed, if it can be of use to someone ?

Could be collectable , or components can be disassembled and reused.

My advice would be to not hand it over to the police (especially the RCMP) unless you absolutely have to. No point in adding to their statistics so a politician can use them to further implement restrictions on firearms and ammo.

Going to see what there is in there, reloads will be disassembled to components and any unique cases will be added to my collection.
Definitely better than handing it over to the police.
