Rifle Cleaning Rest
Just curious to know what you people, use to hold your rifles while you're cleaning it. Lately it's been four folded towels on the counter, as I live in a condo.
Looking for something that will hold it at a slight downward angle.
I love cleaning my guns, I find it so relaxing!
Thanks guys!

just recently put an old vise on the gun room workbench. got the vice from my works metal bin after someone received a better one. now it is going to get some thick foam glued to the teeth to become my new gun vise for cleaning and all other fun firearm related things.

I use a lead sled I bought years ago, it is by far the best use I have found for it.

Sinclair International makes a nice one. I use a bench vice with leather padded jaws.

I think mine is a MTN case guard product. It's big and bulky but it doubles as a range box, tool kit, and holds any gun I have solidly. Room for a little bit of everything. 1 box, never forget anything. Iirc wss was where I found it, been very happy with it.

I have the Tipton gun vise
I attached a piece of 2x2 the bottom to mount in my bench vise. I can tilt the barrel down for cleaning or level for scope mounting

Still have my old MTM and often take it to the range, but at home it is exclusively the Tipton gun vise.

I have one similar to the ATM. Kind of a tackle box with a gun rack. Its nice cause all your cleaning stuff is in one spot and its portable. There are some really nice wood versions out there too. Might make a good project.

Two rubber pads in my bench vise when at home, and a Flambeau, cleaning tackle box with removable saddles for the range work.
