I have the marlin 60sn, just a synthetic stock, but I think it was worth every penny, I've put thousands of rounds through mine with no flaws.

I have shot one plenty, and the issue I notice is because the rifle has the micro rifling instead of standard rifling, it's accuracy seems to degrade quickly without enough cleaning. Its dead on when clean but after putting a box of ammo thru it the groups will start opening up. Otherwise its a great rifle, I only use CCI ammo in it and have never had a jam or misfire

i had one , worked awesome . i sold it only because of the tube magazine , i prefer a detachable mag because its easier to unload.

I keep thinking that as well, but for the price....

I like the last shot bolt hold open feature as well.

That's why the 795 exists. Same rifle, only features a detachable box mag; http://www.marlinfirearms.com/firear...oading/795.asp

It's the only semi-auto rimfire I own. Very accurate, very reliable, eats everything, and it's cheap. I like the smooth, efficient single-stack mags too. I can fit a pile of them in my coat pocket. Last shot bolt hold-open is just 1 thing it has over it's Ruger competition. Adult-sized charging handle, bolt release lever are 2 others. The mag release isn't easy to actuate, the sights are crappy (I'd always planned on scoping mine anyway)....but other than that, it's a great gun...and always hits what I'm aiming at. Best value/accuracy for the price of any .22 out there in my opinion.

Great plinker. Lots of fun. Unloading isn't bad at all.

Been extremely reliable with all ammo. The cheaper the better. Except that copper winchester junk that had the only 2 or 3 non ejects.

I've found no reason to get anything else.

Well, here's hoping you're all correct... picked up a Model 60SN this afternoon at Milarm, $170.00. Range day tomorrow.

This little semi shoots like a hot damn. Even my 53 y/o eyes managed to obliterate a 2" shoot'n see at 25 yards with open sights. It functioned flawlessly and was just plain fun to shoot.

If you don't have one I highly recommend you get one. Excellent plinker for the price!
