Default Mountain Lion Results

With us being almost half way through December I haven't seen any pictures of any Mountain Lions posted. Has anyone had some good results and always great to read the story behind the hunt?

Been a few good ones taken since the last snow, especially here in the South. We have been running my brothers outfit steady the last week with good results. One book cat for sure and 3 others real close. Not my pics to share but its been good so far!

I've been hoping to see some cat pics as well. Such a beautiful animal. One day I hope to hunt them as well, seems the price of the hunt keeps going up like everything now days...

I was lucky around 14 years ago, h iHad a buddy with blood hounds, he would just drive the back roads and look for tracks, if they were new tracks he would call his list of guys, well I got the call, in 20 hours I was shooting the cat AT FIRST light the next day, huge male on my wall, will post a pic when I get more time.

he just wanted to keep his dogs in great shape no money changed hands, thats what make's great buddies, no dogs now lost more to cats than old age.

I saw one towards the end of October in 118. Only had my bow and it was 125 yards away but it was cool to see. I was much more excited about the sighting then the rancher was when I told him.

I saw 2 together in 526 this past January while hunting cow Elk in the late season draw. They were just youngsters but they crossed only 60 feet in front of the truck.

That’s right. I think it was a day or two after we saw them when we ran into you.

No plans for a late season elk trip this year. My partner really wants to go but all this Covid stuff put the brakes on for us. Amazing how things change in a year....
