Isulated bootfoot

Hey all,

What are your favoritew insulated bootfoot waders for winter fishing/hunting? I'm getting tired of being cold in my stockingfoot waders. My old bones just can't do it anymore. Thanks.

Go to Cabelas and buy the heaviest lined waders that they have.

Late season duck experience from today speaking. Put a felt insole into the Waders.

I was able to stay warmish for 6 hours today in that biting wind. Problem with heavy lined waders is that at some point you exert alot of energy by putting out decoys and recovering birds. Then you start to sweat, and it is held by the heavy lined waders causing you to feel damp.

I always used a black lab.

I buy the heavy felt liners that fit in the bottom of the boot. Inexpensive and help keep the feet warm.

This has become my cold/wet weather savior! I just buy a cheaper pair of boots with good drainage, throw these on over a pair of regular "Costco" socks and head out! I use Army style "Jungle Boots" and I'm good all day! Of course once full on Winter arrives and the lakes and ponds are frozen soild, things change...but for wet fall weather...I Love Em!

Thanks guys. Those are some pretty pricey socks, but keeping warm is more important to me. I'll check out Cabela's.

I don't know about Edmt. but Calgary has taken down all signs indicating Cabella's and it now states Bass Pro.

Seems the head office in the US has notified all Cabella's will now go under the Bass umbrella

Good think is now when you look up Bass on the web it will have the Canadian stores not US in US dollars

Lol...no, they are fully water proof and insulated...some have more insulation then others..so pick your grade accordingly. You can just wear runners if yo want. The Socks do all the work...the "Boot" is just an outer peocetive layer....I tried em and now I have a few pairs depending on the season. They work great for me! I guess to see your confusion now...ya they only go up so far...lol...so past mid shin...yer gonna get wet. Just read the OP a little better...so not a good "Up to your waist in water/muck option" I was just tired of big heavy insulated boots...so I shifted to these for late/early season hiking and fishing the shore lines. But ya, if you want to go deep in...you will have to try another option I guess..
