So a small boy is missing in Manitoba, but foul play not expected. So no Amber alert in this case, but my question is...what would be the harm of an Amber Alert anyways? Afterall the RCMP have been wrong before.
An amber alert is for when law enforcement believes a child has been abducted not just missing. There is also other criteria to be met before an alert is issued, such as they must believe the child is imminent danger of serious harm or death, they have enough physical descriptors of the child and the abductor. Even if the RCMP are wrong they don't have any information about any abductor, any vehicle ect. Besides this has been all over the news with the child's description.
The sad thing is that children go missing every day in this country and the U.S.
Not every one will require an Amber Alert,
There's just isn't enough resources.
