Tenders are important. The Jets have one of the best in the NHL.

The Mighty Oil have two of the worst.

And the beat goes on….

Top fella has a compromised back from carryin the entire team. Although his 200ft game has been pretty suspect as of late…

Yup the Oil is leaking for sure, it's not the end of the world yet boy's the season is only 5 games in, don't write them off just yet. McDavid's injury may be bad or may not time will tell

It sure gives the oilers haters some chirp time though the boo birds are singing

Even in the field your prayers are not answered for an Oiler win

Your pup looks like a Canuck fan though, good looking, hard working, winning and happy

I wouldn't categorize myself as an Oiler "hater". I'm just a realist living my life free of denial!

So Connor is out for 1-2 weeks. Getting out of this batting .500 would be a good outcome. Some tough games over the next couple of weeks...mind you in today's NHL all the games are tough.

Wild are just plain outplaying the oilers. Not having Mcdavid on the power play is really showing.
Overall sloppy play on defence. Lots of holes. Got close them up.
Goaltending is weak tonight. Something must be done before the season is a total write off.
Wild deserved this one.
The big german was nowhere to be found.
With mcjesus absence, he needed to step up another level.
Which clearly he did not.
3/10 effort tonight.
Sad really.
Regroup and face the rangers now.

Oilers better do something to turn around the season and quick. Poor defense and below average goaltending. Unless things get turned around quickly they will be struggling just to make the playoffs.

There is no joy in mudville

And not much on the red mile

Alberta hockey fans don't have anything to cheer about so far this year

Glad I have a grandson to watch playing for Timmins Rock of the NOJHL and they are currently riding a 6 game winning streak in which he has put up 7 goals and 2 assists.

I'm starting to think that the Outdoorsmen Thread Title Curse is real - this all falls on Bessie's shoulders.

A sacrifice will be required to atone!

All suggestions are welcome.

Give it time, and they will do their best to not make the playoffs yet again.
