Sizing in two stages. A run through the FL die and then a mandrel die to set neck tension. I like the Forster press for this.

Still trying to find something that will make a good Superformance load in my '06, 165, 175, 180 so far the results have been disappointing. (rifle shoots cloverleaves at 100m with 150s and H4895)
Also waiting to get my hands on some 44mag gear - the complete lack of available ammo this year - zero availability, finally convinced me.
Does anyone here have any experience using Campro 240s in a carbine? - both from a loading perspective and an effectiveness perspective

I mounted my trimmers, priming tools etc. onto a 12"x 6'x 1/2" pieces of scrap fencing lumber I had laying around. I store them in my roll away tool chest, when I need a tool I just C-clap them to the top of my work bench. Not fancy but it works and also doubles up the stiffness of the working surface by adding the extra layer of lumber to the reloading bench top.

I had 4 boxes of 12 ga steel BB shotshells that were hangin around that I had to disassemble into components. These shotshells would not cycle in my semi-auto shotgun because the diameter was too large for them to drop into the chamber. I did engage the manufacturer and they have since modified their process and sent me a case of shells for my trouble.

But it was time to dispose of these shells so I've been cutting off the tops, just below the crimp, with a box cutter, emptying out the shot, pulling out the wad and emptying the powder. So I've got a lot of steel BB shot and powder to find uses for.....told the wife I'll perform some firepit magic

Thanks 6.5 shooter, I'm thinking I'll stick with this same method. I currently have my trimmer mounted to a scrap section of 2x4 that I would c-clamp to a bench. I'll probably change that out for a fancy piece of scrap 3/4" hardboard or 1x4 I've got lying around to give a low profile look!

I use the rcbs accessory base plate, works good if all your reloading equipment is rcbs.

Since it’s so cold (-10c) and the wind is blowing at a gale force this Saturday, I thought I would reload some cartridges for my Timberwolf (C-14) in 338LM. Again for time sake, I’m not showing the de-capping, wet tumbling, or the drying steps.

Step 1. Annealing. After 4 firings with the magnum, time to anneal the cases. Here are the finished cases as they cool on the cooling tray.



Step 2. Full length sizing with the Whidden F.L. Bushing sizing die. I like to bump the shoulder for the magnum -.002”. This measures 2.2620” in the Whidden shoulder bump guage.



Step 3. Trimming. The Lapua cases can grow substantially after sizing. Trim length is right around 2.714”.



Step 4. Priming the cases. Pretty self-explanatory here.



Step 5. Charging the case with 93.6gr of Retumbo.



Step 6. Seating the 300gr SMK’s. I am seating them .010” off the lands (jump). Which gives me a CBTO measurement of 2.966”. (COAL is meaningless because I single feed these.)



And now Kids, we’re done! A finished round perfectly fitted for the C-14. Here’s the finished case in the caliper and the case guage showing a perfect job.



And that’s what makes this a mile plinking rifle....

Have my great grampa's 38-55 Win. 94. Its been in the closet for two generations. (Not mine-I have a safe) Bought a set of Lee dies some time ago and the lockdown right now convinced me to learn how to reload for the old lever gun.
I had to do lots of reading to understand the difference in case length between the old 38-55s and the newer ones. Learned about slugging the barrel so I choose the right size bullets- should I use cast or jacketed? Never worked with cast bullets before. Not much for powder data out there- not going to the city to buy any manuals any time soon.
Never worked with a 3 die set before. Never had to crimp the cases before in my other six calibers that I reload. Quite a lot to digest in one go.
In 2004 I set my son up with the rifle and he rattled in a WT buck. Its been stored since then.

I didn't load anything today-- instead I braved the cold and 25kph winds and sent some 105 Match Kings down range at 500 with the sling and irons to prove to myself I am still as foolish as I was 10 years ago! LOL
As I said to my buddy out there with me, " If you don't practice in these conditions you will never learn how to shoot and win in them!"
I haven't been this cold in a very long time!

I finished developing some 25-06 70gr blitsking varmint ammo at a nice tight 1/2” @3850fps. Next project will be shrinking its es it’s about 30 now but would love to get it down below 20 with some annealing seating depth and primer selection.

No pics yesterday, I often forget to ask get someone too take them, although there were two others out there for a very short time. !
The rifle II was shooting is not a hunting rifle , it was a single shot match rifle in 6mmmBR with central receiver sight and Ptec front , with a single point sling.
Here is a pic from a warmer time!
The spotting scope BTW is NOT on the rifle, it is on a bipod!

With a Sunday to myself I finally get to add something to this thread. Went through a big bag of 30-30 once fired brass and sorted head stamps into brands which included a few surprises. Full length sized about 50 of them made by Federal because that's what my Ackley likes, chamfered case mouths and dumped them into the tumbler for the night. D.H.

I installed pillars in my friend's Tikka 30-06 synthetic stock to go with his new Lumley bottom metal.

Then I shouldered (expanded over 8mm expander and sized in my sizing die) 60 cases of new Starline 30-30 brass to give a snug fit in my Marlin 336, and loaded them with Hornady 160 FTX and Hodgdon Leverevolution powder in various charge weights.

No pics, cuz my bench doesn't look anything like those of Chuck or 6 MT.

Reloading room related, what did you end up going with concerning a Line Conditioner for your electronics? Also ,how did you make out talking to a Gunsmith about using a reamer on the dies?
I haven't read any responses from you on either.
