I hear ya. I’ve been to about 20 Grey Cups with me being a Riders fan and 7 Esks fans. Ive heard it plenty when 75% of the Grey Cups were watching the Esks. It was glorious watching them take a dive and I still enjoy watching them lose but the ball busting in the group chat has gone silent. It’s not fun anymore.

I agree. Is there a WCFL the Ex-kimoes can play in?

😂😂😂

Apparently talking about winning the Cup before the season starts isn't really a guarantee...

https://edmonton.ctvnews.ca/elks-opt...lity-1.6911336

I quit watching midway through 3rd. Blechhh!

Bethel Thompson looked bad , real bad. Why Tre Ford didnt start 2nd half is beyond me , he finally got in at about 9 minute mark of fourth and pulled off a bit of razzle dazzle to entertain the 10 fans at game.

All 32 NFL teams passed on Rourke . Atlanta falcons have agreed to give him a look near end of month. They signed Kirk Cousins in the off season for $180 million and have Michael Penix an eighth overall pick in the 2024 draft. So just a quick look at Rourke. Might end up in the CFL...??

My best guess is Rourke spends all of 2024 once again pursuing a 3rd string position in the NFL.

Rourke has stated on air that he'd be thrilled to come back to BC.

I see Nathan coming back to BC in 2025 for a very lucrative contract and Vernon Adams making his way to the Roughriders via trade. My 2 cents.

Well you were right Cacty. Rourke impressed the Atlanta Falcons during his workout and signed a one year contract for $915,000 US .

Looks like the Bombers got their mojo back allowing BC only 4 first down and no points the board
Tre Ford starting the Rider game will be interesting his first start he’ll be hungry to impress the fans unless he runs into Micah Johnson head first

Same old same old with Riders. Seen this movie for years. Start the season beating a few weak teams and their in house media [Rob Vanstone] pumps their tires
like they are the best team in the world. Once mid season rolls around the other teams have cut / brought in players and built a better team. The real season
starts now. Post game interviews players were all saying "thats not us man were better" 272 yds rushing by last place Edmonton....?? Coach Mace says
"Thats on me , I have to get the team better prepared"....?? What were you doing all week ? sitting around with your thumb up your arse ? Then they have a big love in saying who the blame is on. Laughable , just bush leauge.
I will be surprised if they win another game this year. ALL the other teams look way better then the Riders.

The Riders seem to be starting their annual descent to the bottom. I will say the injuries are monumental and no other team could sustain these injuries to the starting line up either.

Half the team is injured and out including starting RB, QB, WR, MLB, RT, RG, LG.

I fully expect another loss to the Redblacks as Ottawa is coming off 2 weeks rest and the Riders are forced to travel across the country on 3 days rest.

Wpg and Cgy are bringing up the rear and fast. The Roughriders are in serious peril in my opinion.

Good grief. Weirdest game ever. Little bit of everything, from a snoozer to a nail biter ending in an absolute gong show.

The Atlanta Falcons released Rourke today.

Eskimo's are in Hamilton next week and I think they have a pretty good chance of winning. I hope they do. That Javon Leake can really kick in the Jets once he has an opening. They are pumped and digging their way out of basement..slowly. Going to be a few teams looking over their shoulder.....like the Riders if they don't wake up.

Nathan Rourke has signed a 3 year deal with the Lions. Campell says Vernon Adams is to valuable on and off field and will not be traded. Gives them a pretty good QB room. No doubt Jake Dolgada will be out. Will be interesting to see how it plays out , the Lions were fined last year for exceeding salary cap but they have creative ways of shuffling the deck like most teams.

Great watching Ward hoop that kick with .002 on clock to give Ottawa win over the Donkeys at McDump.

Eskimo's are coming alive , although T-Cats are pitiful and the rightful owners of the CFL basement now. Edmonton have a great running game. Hope they can beat Montreal next week.
Riders usually relieable kicker Lauther reminded me of the Cowboys old kicker Brett Maher....who was cut.

Miss a last second FG and still win the game ?? Ha , 20-19 TO over hapless Riders.
TO kicker pulled the last second FG attempt from the 40 wide left, but he put his leg into knowing full well a single would win the game. And he was right. Riders D played hard with 3 goal line stands on TO 3rd downs. Only problem was thats where Riders offence scrimmaged ball and their offence that looked not bad in first 1/4 just stumbled along rest of game. Play calling for offense is boringly predictable and not working.

Bad luck, missed field goal for wins and command centre aside, I cannot see this Riders team finishing higher than 3rd or even 4th in the West. Just my 2 cents.

We need an offense that can play a whole game, winning on a missed FG makes no sense.

Lions not looking so powerful these days , 5 straight losses. Their pass rush is sad, Ottawa lots of time to throw, 390 yds passing against even weaker pass coverage. Rourke looked just average but not much time and he was scrambling. BC's O line looks like the Riders last year, couldnt block the cheerleaders.
The Green Machine still in first place. Ha ha for another week anyway.

BC and Rourke looked better and won easily. Mutt of a game, Redblacks couldnt get anything going.
Labor day wknd always see's a shift in the standings and after today Riders will probably be in third place instead of first unless the offense can play the whole game. Bombers for the win. Could be wrong , Trevor Harris said " I would not bet on any team besides the Riders "

Six losses in a row for Riders and not expecting a win next week in the Banjo Bowl.
