I'm in the crossfield area, looking for a partner to hunt my doe tags with possibly? Seein as how they changed the regs, I can't hunt my tags in my 200 zones. So if anyone is thinkin of heading ou into some 300 zones and wouldn't mind a tag a long i'd be more than happy to tag along. Have my

Default everyone backed out!!

So as I said above I have a full week off work for elk hunting and everyone has backed out. So if any one wants to snag a quick partner for opening day and split gas and room it would be great. Im not crazy about driving that far without splitting gas, and its more fun with two people!!

I'm a "young" new hunter (23). This is my first year of hunting. I'm from gibbons and looking to head out Friday to hopefully find a deer and try to fill my elk tag. Anyone feeling "sick" or have Friday off work and want to head out for a day trip somewhere? I can split gas or possibly borrow my dads truck for the day since I'm stuck in 2wd with mine.
If anyone is interested shoot me a MSG and we can work out a plan.
Alex

Default Better late then never right?

Hi ya folks. Hilton here. Just wanted to wish you all a safe and happy hunting! Be safe, since your families want you home in one piece. I am sure many of you feel that if it's your time, this would be the the altimate send off, however please realize there is no closure for the ones that get left behind if you can't be located. There are many good locators that can be purchased for a reasonable cost.
Again happy hunting, even if I'm a little late!

Default Kiwi looking for sheep in AB

Hi Guys
My name's Mike and I'm moving to Calgary from New Zealand in a week. Have hunted all my life. Red deer, sika deer, fallow deer, WT, Tahr and chamois. Never really been too interested in sheep (we've got a few in NZ) but reading a few of your posts on here and having a look at some of the incredible country in AB has got me inspired. It's great to see such an active and passionate outdoors community and it's one of the reasons I'm excited about making the move.

Still trying to get my head around the permitting and seasons and obviously wont be able to solo for a while until I get my AB residency. Will be bringing my trusty T3 270win over some time in the new year but just as at home digiscoping with my swaro spotter/ lumix camera and being out in the mountains.

It looks like the season will be over when I arrive but would be keen to get involved in any winter gatherings in Calgary and always up for pouring of some maps or training for the next adventure. Here's a few snaps of NZ.
Cheers
Mike

I'm in my first year hunting and have learned a lot already this year and have folded my first tag on a small wt buck. I have my 2 supplemental tags left and hoping to go out this weekend. I'm off Friday,Saturday,Sunday. If anyone wants to do a day trip or 2 I'm open to a bit of traveling but would like to keep it to within 2 hrs. I'm located in gibbons and willing to drive and or split on gas.
If anyone wants to team up on some deer shoot me a MSG on here and we can line up a game plan.
Happy and safe hunting everyone.

Default 314/316 On Thursday/Friday

I got royally screwed by two back to back light hammer strikes with my potential first ever buck in WMU 420 this weekend. Still had a great weekend though, camping up there near Ram Falls. Looking to fill the tag this week, after I investigate my rifle issue of course.

I'm open to go Thursday and/or Friday. Leaving from Calgary. Early morning hunt or late day, or even full day out in WMU 314/316. Don't have any permissions so crown land is where I spend my time. Spooked a couple nice animals through there on a recon mission a month back.

Kinda new to deer hunting, but learned to hunt from Dad while moose hunting trips in Newfoundland. 33 yrs old, like to walk and enjoy meeting new people!

If you're from Calgary, looking to fill that tag that's burning your pocket and are up for day trips later in the week, than let me know.
