Popped the butt pad off a T3X to see what is what to install QD sling swivel sockets, looks fairly straightforward, lots of room on the forend. I would have finished it today, but, need to go to town to get some steel bed epoxy. Mine dried up, hard like rock.
Considered loading some 6.5cm with Accubonds.
Had plans to go shoot this AM, wind kiboshed that.
Ordered a Forster 3way cutter head for 6.5.

The 50 original brass I bought for my 257 wby have been fired 4x and only ever neck sized. It was time the shoulder was pushed back so did a full length resize. Gawd I hate trimming, chamfering and deburring brass.

Repaired a pair of Kelby rings which had torn out cap screw holes from being over torqued. A good day, saved a couple hundred bucks and have a like new set of rings for cheap !

I found 6 pristine 45-70 cases at the range today. De-capped them…., tumbled, dried, sized, flared, primed, charged, seated, and crimped.

Over the last two days I have performed WipeOut cleaning of 4 rifles. One in particular took three batches of cleaner, a Douglas premium barrel that only ever saw Noslers. The two rifles that live on a Barnes diet both cleaned up very easily, with almost no blue seen on the patches. Weird and not what I expected.

Working on researching a source for RWS 30cal 184gr Evo bullets for the 30R Blaser today. My Krieghoff SXS was definitely regulated with those in a factory RWS round. Apparently they do offer them as a reloading component, have to see what it'll take to acquire them. From what I did with it at 200yds, I'd expect to get a decent 300yd composite group out of it with those, and that would be sweet with that gun. I will likely hate the price, but, that is life, with playing with this kind of gun.

I had the week off, so I’ve been doing a lot of loading. Today…it’s.357mag with 125gr Campro bullets and a new powder for this caliber for me.

I have completely gone away from H110. It’s now TiteGroup. This combo is charged with 7.0gr.

So I have 300 rolled up now with the new choice of powder.

I've been working on brass for a few rifles.

It started with working up a load for my brother's 6mm.

Then, since I had the equipment fired up already I decided to process some brass I bought off Skidderman a couple of years ago.

So out came the 30-30 and 30-06 brass. Then my sister in North Star called, she had a fresh beef liver for me if I wanted it. Which of course I did.

During the visit that followed she went looking for a user manual for something she wanted me to fix, (I forgot what that was) and in one package she opened was a hand full of 30-378 Wby empties and misfired cartridges.
Only a shallow indent in the primer, not enough to set them off. And they were filthy. So I offered to clean them.

That lead me to researching the 30-378 as I had never heard of it before.
Interesting cartridge. More a canon without wheels than a sporting cartridge but very interesting non the less.

So now I'm on my last batch of 30-30 brass. All the 6mm and 30-30 brass is ready for primers and loading, but I am out of primers.

So, next step, a trip to Peace River for supplies. I may have to order online, Peace River only as a CT store that handles reloading supplies but I prefer to buy locally when possible so I'll make the trip and see what I can find.

For those who wonder shy I wouldn't call ahead, I've tried that a few times in the past only to find out that the clerk I talked to had no idea what they had in stock. So it's just a lot easier and effective to go and make it a multi task trip.

We need eggs and I hear my sister in Weberville is overstocked, plus they just butchered three steers and she has a 50 lb bag of real suet she kept for me from the slaughtering.

So that's what I've been doing on my bench. Oh, that and putting together a few hundred more camera mounts.

Actually, no, it's a Merkel 140 AE Safari Arabesque.
I like it alot. Don't really have any use for it, but it keeps my shoulder a nice shade of purple.

I'm to crippled up really for big game hunting anymore so I'm thinking my 300 mag would be more useful to me if I load it down. The reason is so I can spend more time shooting it at the range without getting sore.
I have a lot of really old reloading manual's. I think they are way better than the newer ones not only because they were using the guns and powders that I'm using but there is just more useful stuff in them.
Examples would be moderate reduced loads, gallery reduced loads and these are for jacketed, cast or even plastic bullets. How to develop them. How to reload without much for reloading gear, etc.
Anyway I'm using up sr 4759 in my 300 mag with jacketed 150s going about 1800 fps. No recoil and good accuracy at 100 yards which is all I need for off hand target shooting.
My next project will probably involve my 444 marlin although its newer cartridge than most of my manuals.

Now that hunting season is done, I am back to loading my 28 gauge and 410 hulls for skeet. I have been doing 500 per session, and have 5000 done, with about 2500 left to go, so I should finish sometime next week.

Damn! I am officially bored. I have no more to load. Zero! This not being able to shoot anything until sometime in January is getting to me.

So I loaded the last of anything I have to load this morning. I found 80 cases of 6.5CM that I had de-capped and cleaned. It turned out that 5 of them had loose primer pockets. So I discarded those. But who says you can’t load for precision and repeatability with multiple head stamped brass cases? These are of 4 different head stamps. Various adjustments on the annealer, dies, and seating gives me a batch as good as the match grade Lapua cased rounds. My variation for all processes remains at +/-.0005”.

Another batch of 75 rounds for fouling and plinking.

Finished loading skeet loads for 2022, 2800+ loads for the 410, and 4000+ loads fr the 28 gauge, enough for a normal year of skeet. The scary part is that my components are almost gone, and I have to buy more for next year.

Rearranging stuff, purging random cases and redundant powders and generally cleaning up before I start doing some barrel swaps

As everyone knows, reloading components can be difficult to source.

Found some powder that I've never used before for heavy bullets in 223.
Results are satisfactory so I'll load up a bunch to use until I can get my hands on some of my usual powder.

So this afternoon I'll be putting together 200 rounds of 223Rem topped with 75gr Horn BTHP.

found out today that it is indeed possible to load a entire 8lb keg of green dot in one day on a Spolar loader. I was loading 19.5 grains of green dot with 1 1/8 oz of #8 homemade shot and windjammer wads.
