the only time I have seen anything like that is on the HK semiauto line of rifles and carbines. the factory cuts a fluted chamber to enhance reliability so the gas will "float" the case in the chamber and make it easier to extract. I doubt Browning is doing this intentionally, so I would take the rifle to a smith and get the headspace checked and get a look at the chamber with a borescope. that isn't just gas escaping, I have seen a lot of that over the years when starting to work up a handload, the case neck and sometimes even a little bit shoulder will get an even covering of soot. looks like you've got something going on in the chamber.
I've seen the H&K marks in a number of pics, didn't strike me as deep enough in looking at these, but, that did occur as a first thought, as it is very similar. Seems as though the H&K really wrinkles the neck, deeper grooves that you would likely be able to feel?
