I picked up a pair for my two boys so they can carry their own gear while we are hunting. At 9 and 11 they’re too small to fit in any of my own daypacks but I’m sick of being a mule and packing all the gear.
In a couple of weeks I’ll have a hands on opinion of them but for that price a guy can’t go to far wrong.
I have 3 Mystery Ranch packs that I use for daypacks, depending on the season and how much extra layers I'll be changing in and out. I have a Sawtooth 45, Pintler and Pop Up 28.All work extremely well with a Slik Sling for secure rifle carry.

I think if you want to run with your rifle strapped to your pack, you need a frame pack. And frame packs aren't exactly "day packs".
Probably just depends on how much meat you're packing out on your back, and how far. Short distances, anything will work. Longer distances is where the more expensive stuff out there starts to make a difference.

With me being in Blackfoot like a dirty shirt this year id like my rifle strapped to my pack, and i always shoot of my pack when i can as a rest. The Cabelas has some groves, for securing and shooting, both have a rifle stock boot.
I have a badlands OX carbon packframe, either would strap into it if needed
If you get a MR, pick up a Stick it Plus. I use it for a lot of different things as it allows me to put stuff in it like wet rain gear, a warm jacket or my lunch. Allows me to grab something without opening up the pack. I have it on my Pintler.

Got my Kuiu bags in the mail yesterday. So far I'm very impressed with both sizes. I got the 1800 for my son and the 2300 for myself. Both are well made bags with great features and they seem durable. Time to test them out.
Mine are waiting at home as well but I’m at work and haven’t seen them yet. They also won’t be given to the kids until next month and we won’t be hunting again until April.
I will mention, not bad shipping time from the old USA to me. I’m not in brissy though, we are an hour north. When you adjust for when it was actually shipped to when it was delivered and remember we are a day ahead, it was en route less then 4 days door to door.
