Sorry for your and the families' loss. Great tribute of taking the ashes and caricature to the cabin. Rest knowing he will no longer be in pain and everybody can start the VERY LONG Healing process. Good friends like you are hard to come by. He was a lucky man.

I got to spread some of my best friends ashes on his favorite mountain golf course 7 yrs ago with my son who golfed there with him and his son. I will be spreading another besties ashes at our favorite fishing point next year. I found it very comforting and I hope your hunting trip is more smiles and laughs than sad. He will be there with you.
