Hopefully 212 gets like suffield and teaches these landowners that hunting is important for the ecosystem.

I have family who live in okotoks and im told permission is very hard to obtain.

Its too bad but F&W should get involved to try and get landowners on board.

Should be applying for draws in places you are guaranteed permission if not it seems like a waste of your priority..

Probably because everyone that has land hunts or else is against hunting. Things will only get worse in 10-15-20 years... Everyone without land will be fighting for first parking spots on conservation lands and natural areas haha. That's why I bought 160 acres for hunting.

The priority can only be used in that zone anyways.

Good play, I would do the same if I had the $$$$$$$$

Only problem is that these landowners own half of 212 and then don't allow hunting, why does SRD even bother to issue tags? They should do there part and push these landowners to access hunting.

If they don't like muzzleloader or shotgun, why not bow n arrow!!

212 is a tough one! But keep trying it'll pay off. Also I am an electrician and I offered help around their farms etc in exchange for hunting. Could always ask to lend a free helping hand when knocking on doors.

You are a brave man for saying that. People been hung around these parts for saying they bought land to hunt. All joking aside, congrats. Hope you found what you were hoping for.

Stay anonymous, as you are not breaking the law in offering goods/services for hunting access, but if the landowner accepts this offer - and is found out - they are breaking the current law.

It is all in how you "say/represent" this; if you are granted access and then offer to help out around the farm/acreage/quarter-section/land - nothing illegal about that.

I caught a guy trespassing in 212. He then had the guts to offer me free electrical work in exchange for hunting permission. Same guy?

Default 212 elk

The worst place to try to get permission. Everyone seems to hate the elk but will not allow hunting. Anyone know of a good area? I will not get one for lack of trying anyway....

Look for landowners who still make a living from the land.. they give permission.
