Hey now. There's golf all winter in Vancouver so no problem getting a tee time in December. Just sayin.

Not the mighty oiler effort one would of hoped for in their season opener.

Very embarrassing.

Which means next team they play should be trounced… if Oilers effort and skill meets what they can do on paper.

Otherwise…. Oh boy. What a train wreck.

At least there is tons of time to work the kinks out.

It’s always nice to hit the golf course in the morning for an early tee off time, light skate afterwords, eat, nap and destroy the visiting team.

Hahaha, good effort boys!!!! They will not be winning any cup without better goaltending and defense. A good team is just that, a "team". You can't expect McDraisaitl to carry the entire "team" game after game after game. So my prediction (and I'm not a hockey expert) is more of the same this year.

They ended last year pulling Skinner 4 times in the playoffs. Started this year pulling Campbell…

Goaltending isn’t an issue at all…. Lmao

Goaltending for the Oilers has been suspect for them for years. We've had the same goaltender coach for the past 8 or 9 seasons. When you beat your head against the wall expecting things to change, all you're going to do is get a sore head. I wonder how hard Woody's head is or how long he'll keep beating it against the wall.

Starting off with a bang....not! I said this before they ain't going anywhere without good goaltending. Only the first game but you think they would be a bit more motivated.

Let's talk in March but....enjoy your time in the sun. Days are getting shorter. You know it. I know it. Everyone on the lower mainland knows it. Clouds forming over the Pacific as we speak.

Flames fans in the first month of the season every year.

Flames fans at the end of every season.

Um..... we're so good we spotted the WHOLE LEAGUE a game...... right?......right?

That's the only explanation that I can accept.

Vancouver said they lost huge just to help highlight how much potential Vancouver has this year.

All kidding aside…

I would not be betting against Edmonton utterly crushing the next game.

Neither Alberta teams are showing signs of hockey dominance at the moment.

The best way to view it as both teams have lots of room to improve and lots of time to do it. Vancouver and Pittsburgh played with confidence. Less mistakes. More team play.
