I'm a big fan of the crowfoot co-op since they constantly have bottles on sale for $10-$20 off. It's an easy way to get a few of the more expensive scotches for your collection since you can occassionally find some bottles that typically sell for $100+ in around your $80 range, you just have to keep an eye out for them whenever you're in the store.

I'd trade you for a bottle of Crown...! I love Ardbeg. In fact, I love any of the Isla whiskies. Smokey peaty, yum!

Only ever drank scotch once. That was enough. I think I would rather drink warm skunky pilsner.

I didn't see The Glenrothes listed or the Bruichladdich, both are excellent. But if you look at the list from that twisted guy, you would be hard pressed to make a better collection!!

I was given a bottle of 18 for Christmas, haven't opened it yet. I thought I'd provide another bottle among antlers picture, following FishGunner's post.

Sobey's had this on sale earlier in December, $20 off so came out to about $72/btl. Awesome scotch for the price, I just cracked number, ahem....3, since mid-December. I like to try and make it last but it's just so danged hard.
My usual go-to is Dalwhinnie 15.

Small output so likelihood of finding all/many of those in Canada is remote.
You can find the Edradour 10 year old at Zyn for about $65
Will give you a baseline
The new owner dramatically increased the offerings- including a peat bomb (Ballechin) that I am anxious to, but have not tried.

Well wandered over to Crowfoot Co-op about an hour ago and really wasnt sure what, if anything would be coming home with me. Came home with the last bottle of Edradour 10 and I'm sipping on it now.
It's very good for a 10. Thanks for the suggestions everyone! I think it would be fun if we could set up a Scotch night here in Calgary.

I would like to see that challenge, and be happy to taste them all...
Willow Park is recognized as the largest Scotch selection in western Canada by most of the credible liquor publications. So unless something has changed since 2013....

i was at a tasting here in GP last friday and they had 9 diff scotches to try.
I had been drinking Lagavulin 16. Started on that one when it was $60/bottle. Now that it's $105... I just can't.
At the tasting was a Highland Park 12yr. Wow! Until the next tasting, that's my new favourite! It came in at about $55/bottle. Not quite as peaty/smoky as the Lagavulin; but really nice! And just a bit of water (not ice) really opened it up nice for me.

One of our neighbors uses his baby JD tractor to tidy up our street after the city tries to clean off the ice. Lol I repay his kindness with a few drams . Last week was repayment night took over a 12 yr old rum . Well the guys a scoth nut after a few of my tasting eves. So our list last week .glen turret 15, talisker triple taster set, 12 , 18 and a special reserve 54.5% ABV. With a bottle of single cask JD . JD's was nice but the skinny kid on the pitch. must say the talisker18 really shone through. dont remember much after the special reserve's second glass.

Does Chateau Louis sell bottles? I've never been there. The reason I suggested Willow Park is that they claim to have the most diversified scotch collection in Canada.

I did, and it is quite good! A great single malt for a cold night.
Although, my local Co-op sells Glenfiddich 50. Yes, 50 year old Glenfiddich.
A bargain at almost $1500 an ounce!

Just had a buddy in town, as some will know from the Smoker sticky thread. He left me with a bottle of Bowmore Tempest Small Batch Release.

Any single malt whiskey society members here?
Stop in at kensington wine market in calgary, they're the alberta reps for more info.
I have multiple bottles open:
Glenfiddich 12 and 21 (wife uses the 12 for her "mixing")
Cardhu 12
Glendronach 12
Bruichladdich Links (12)
Bruichladdich Sherry finish (12, I believe)
Glenmorangie Sauternes cask finished (drink at room temperature neat for best flavour)
Glenlivet 18
And two bottles from the smws. One is a 34y single malt, single cask from a distillery that closed 25years ago. Really tasty.

A friend gave me a book oin whiskey (scotch, bourbon, rye, etc) and it detailed various distillieries around the globe.
One in scotland had a small problem with what they thought were particularly thirsty angels. One day someone found a couple of guys in the locked warehouse and they discovered the tunnel ...

I have found that the Costco liquor stores have great prices. Usually about five to fifteen dollars less than most liquor stores. They do not have the best selection, but they do always have Oban in stock.
