You guys are funny.Being in a 55 yr old home with sewer pipes that have had root problems in the past.Thinking 4L flushes are fine for a pee but probably not so much for the daily plop.
Think I'll look for larger flow ones.

We replaced our toilets when the city was giving a rebate. The guy at the plumbing store recommended Toto Drake. He said that if cattle used a toilet, they'd use a Toto Drake.

They've been really good toilets.

I have Toto toilets in my house. I had to replace the horn or whatever it is that the toilet slides onto when installing due to leaks on two of them.Took two months to get the parts from Japan. I replaced a third one with a new Toto as I wasn't going to wait another two months. The newer ones seem to have a better design for the "horn".

I wouldn't buy Kohler again. Put 2 in 3-4 years ago and both are having trouble refilling the tank after a flush. One is once in every 20 flushes or so, the other is every time.
Not sure which part is defective (it's not one of the adjustable things like chain length or water level that is miss set) but all you have to do is poke any of the tank innards ever so slightly and she starts fillin' again.
The worse one is in a tight spot under a counter, would have to drain the tank and take it off to replace the guts. So I leave the lid off and have a flush-then-poke routine. Pretty ghetto.

When we did our basement bathroom reno I bought our toilet at an actual plumbing supply place (not big box store). I will always remember the salesman as we picked one, all he was interested in was getting me into a good flusher. Everyone one we discussed he had a discourse on how well it flushed, we ended up going with "his" best flusher, lol. That toilet has never been plugged once, it is a very good flusher. Just a funny memory.

Boxing Day. The true test for any toilet.
