Life Goal:

1. Buy truck i cant afford
2. Increase loudness of said truck for no reason whatsoever
3. Install sound system that makes everyone elses windows rattle
4. Put larger tires on....cant afford the gas for the truck already, might as well go broke.
5. Soon learn i cant afford to drive more than twice a week.
6. Tint all windows....recieve countless tickets from police....again, see finances above.
7. Install "balls" on hitch. My vehicles a joke, might as well make it look even more the part.
8. Beg mom to co sign a ford focus
9. Realize i was a douche in my life

Does the loudness of a vehicle correlate to the age of the operator?

Last night while sitting at the intersection waiting for the green light, a Honda Oddesye(sp) pulls up beside me making a left turn, didn't make a sound, while looking at the big black vehicle, I was thinking that is a pretty sweet looking ride, the driver got the flashing green arrow and pulled away, never made a sound, does anyone know if these are electric? After it left I thought that was pretty cool a noiseless vehicle. That is what I want. Now I am wondering why, must be because I'm getting old. But quiet and peaceful sure is nice.

I realize the Honda may not be an off road vehicle, (hell it isn't even a pick up and now I am worried) but I am starting to think about getting a new electric vehicle. Anyone out there in AO land operate an electric vehicle? What do you think?

I have two inline... a big Magnaflow at the rear and a small Dynomax just after the y-pipe on mine and the sound is simply perfect. No drone, doesn't **** off the neighbors too much and sounds as good as any muscle car ever did. Wide open is magical.

x2 alot of people forget to open up the intake, UBER important. and x5 on the flowmaster they are the real deal, a nice little rap when ya start up & step on it and quiet while cruising, with NO drone. and they weigh and cost substantially less then magnaslow. my brother in law bought one of those and pulled it off a week later cause he liked the sound of mine better

Any suggestions, or experience? I tried watching some YouTube videos of different models but the sound quality on most isn't great.

I'm going to pull the muffler tomorrow and try it with just the resonator but I'm thinking it won't sound good
Other way around. Take the resonators out and run the muffler. The dealer did this on the wife's charger with the SRT8 exhaust and it sounds great. Not loud, but a nice rumble and a good bark if you kick it down to pass on the highway.

I'll give that a try and see how it sounds. I just ordered a thrush "welded" muffler. Supposed to be the same as a flowmaster 40, but half the price. I'll update on the sounds once I install it.

No they are not electric. take a look at the Ridge-line same engine as the Odyssey but 4 wheel drive. Still not an off road vehicle.

Ok, I'm gonna derail my own thread. All you guys who had an issue with me wanting my truck louder, how many of you own Harleys and the other stupid loud bikes. And what are your opinions on those. I much rather the sound of a truck or car with a nice exhaust, versus the obnoxious sound of a Harley with straight pipes. Then again it all comes down to how they drive it. If they drive away from a light normally the sound good, bit when the pin it every chance they get it is the most annoying thing ever, and that goes for trucks and bikes.
