Did the Dominion marksman program have anything to do with CIL bringing in the Model 950T's for Competitors or the DRCA ?Seems to me I remember reading some thing along those lines. 200 right hand bolt ,25 left hand?
Although Cat doesn't know me we have a mutual acquaintance that owns a 950 T. with both original barrels.
I apologise for the de-rail.

No that would have been the DCRA although C.I.L. Involved and Was the front runner at the time as they had the “ inside track”
The team has also used Winchesters and Omark Sportco M44’s as well.
I have the original mounting plate as well as the blueprint that was used to mount the PH5c sight to the 950T !

Great guns. I really like the stock design and the adjustable trigger. Old school cool!

Default Cil

I have a 20g side by side 28 inch barrel 3 inch proof CIL model 710E which i researched and it was made by the savage/stevens company in the usa and my 710E is the same as the stevens model 311E...the E stands for ejectors. The only difference i could see in the pics of the Stevens 311e is it had some extra designs on the stock and foregrip and was engraved CIL model 710E Montreal Canada and the 6 diget serial number preceded with an A. Ive been trying to date it and if its a savage/Stevens serial number it would be a 1968 or 1970 if its a CIL serial number i have no idea as ive searched the internet to try to find out who put the serial number on it, but i did find out the year of manufacture from the proof marks which are savage/stevens so am i to assume that the serial numbers are that of the savage/Stevens company?, If anyone hopefully knows more than what i found out please let me know i would greatly appreciate it as i love researching older firearms, i also have one of those rare walther 6mm starter pistols that the clip comes out back where a hammer should be as u fire it, pretty neat little toy, if anyone knows what it may be worth id love to know so i can sell the starter pistol i also have a chrome cast 6 shot starter pistol made in italy a berrava or something like that, someone broke the tip off the hammer but it still works.

The serial numbers came from the manufacture, not from C.I.L. I would think, they were guns that were made at a particular factory for C.I.L. and were shipped to them finished.
