My first ever buck! (second ever deer: just started hunting last year)
Hard to see the rack in the photo, but he's got 4 tines per side (including brows). Big body, gonna get lot's of meat off of him! Had a tenderloin tonight and he tasted wonderful.
I spent 7 days over the first two weeks of the month covering a ton of ground in this area to find some good sign. On the 6th, I found some fresh doe beds with a lot of fresh urine around. The next day, a buddy and I set up on the other side of the coulee from the beds, and this guy popped out within 45 minutes of first light! One shot, he jumped, twisted, and dropped in his tracks. Nice and quick!
Taken south of Calgary in one of the foothills WMU's.

We ended up having to track roughly 1.5 miles into some dense bush before we caught up to him. Or at lease I thought. I ended up shooting another buck through the trees thinking I was finishing off the cousins. We ended up catching up with the wounded buck as well and finishing it off.
Surprised when I put the tape on mine. Roughly 164”

Very nice deer guys. Good job finding the wounded fella

Wife’s first deer!
She got her license last year and wound up skunked so this year she was trying extra hard. Been out quite a few mornings and this morning it all worked out. Happened that my dad and brother were visiting too so it’s a great memory for all of us.

There’s some hammer bucks hitting the ground from the guys and the women. Congrats to all involved.

2018 non typical rifle deer and two rifle whitetails.
All killed this week on the same ranch in eastern AB
...i don’t know why the one is upside down. Sorry - can’t figure out how to fix it.

Here’s mine from a couple days ago. Good feeling when you put in the time and hike back in off the roads to get your deer. He has double forked tines so it makes him a 5x6

2018 SUCCESSFUL WT & MULEY PICTURES's ((( BUCKS!!)))
Great thread with a lot of nice deer and pics! Congrats all. As an eastern transplant moose and whitetail hunter, this was my first Mulie buck ever taken this year in the Ghost. Pretty exciting moment for me!

Introduced another new hunter to the sport and this is her first deer. Badlands hunt of the best sort. Spotted it 2 miles away got closer stalked to where it was. It wasnt there anymore sat and glassed and saw him chasing some scent trail. Prone. Breathe. Squeeze and it worked out. Even got to pack it out. Took picture after we had started processing cause we forgot. Apologies for the gore. A beauty buck and fantastic first.

Best part was hunting with HugeNuge. We got all three bucks we shot on camera. Should be a fun production when it's done. Not the biggest mulie around but definitely was a great hunt with a good friend.
