Yup , did very well again !

Caught lots of bass , some trout , no squawfish YAY !!!

I've never had the chance to fish Bass this early in the year back in Ontario. So it was definitely interesting to see how things look right after ice out and what water temperature to look for in order to capitalize on a good bite.

was alone so no great pics but heres a 4lber i caught mid day

I'll be pre fishing chin reservoir next week , hoping to get a decent pattern going...

hey nice bass, miss catching small mouth on vancouver island, so fun to watch them gaurd there young in spring in shallow spawing beds.

I am looking for a fishing partner, preferably someone around my age (72), retired. I have a new fishing boat (tracker twx 175- 18 feet) and need someone to help me launch it and just have someone to fish with. I would like to go at least once a month. I like to go to travers dam/little bow provincial park, but any suggestions to other places are welcome.

You're a little young (I'm 74 & in good health) LOL. I'm getting back into fishing after a 30 year pause and would really enjoy a fishing 'buddy'. I live near DeWinton.

does anyone have any plans of going out for some big pike in the near future? being from bc, ive never really caught any.. couple small ones but thats it. id love to be able to get out and catch a monster.

Brendan how far you willing to drive?

You can go to the glenmore res , chestermer or to Travers

All 3 have pike but I cannot guarantee they are going to be monsters!

But if you would like some company on weekends let me know I'm always up for fishing.

i managed to get a couple at chestermere the other day.. nothing to brag about but they were fish! haha. im off work now for a little bit so im free whenever to go. id imagine its probably alot harder to catch the monsters from shore?

i think alot of my problem is that i just need to get out there and do it!! being from bc, pike fishing here is deffinately not something im used to so i dont know if its almost like an intimidation thing or what my deal is.. is kind of like i will look at the water with an "i dont know where to begin" attitude then almost give up.. not good lol.

maybe tomorrow ill head down to glenmore res. and see if i have any luck.
