Don’t see it there at a macro level.

As a power dynamic. Them all being strong is far better.

Russian economy is relatively small and insignificant compared to Chinese business in the EU and North America.

Chinese influence is greater with an increase in allies. Same applies to any country.

When Russia is strong they meddle in all areas of the world in direct conflict with western values and morals. They stir up stuff in Africa and central and South America. In the Arctic and the Middle East.

When their resources are going to their war, it means significant resources are deployed there.

They suffer massive casualties of fighting age males. They should the world how incompetent their military and much of their equipment is. It shows where oligarchs are stealing from the system.

Pound for pound a weakened Russia is good for the world. Maybe…just maybe they will learn a lesson once Putin is gone.

Russians passed some laws previously about Chinese workers and TFW's and immigration to eastern areas, they're scared of China just moving in and taking over back there. China won't pay for finishing the second big Siberian pipeline to China at this point either, so, that implies them taking some control already. Not like they don't know what China is up to in the long term. Much the same as Stalin did in Crimea and other places, and Putin is imitating, displace the indigineous group, such as the Crimean/Ukrainian whatevers, and replace with Russians, then call it Russia. NK doesn't do anything without China's OK either. Rachists do seem to be in a precarious position.

Russian tactical nukes would not surprise me. Putin obviously doesn't care what happens to Russians because look how many Russians he kills everyday.
Then there is China
Russia is biggest country on earth with land that they took from China when China was weak. Russia is running out of Russians and China is next door with crazy big population, multiplying like rabbits and no land or resources.
I'm remembering Sadam Hussain and gulf War 2. Just made Iran more powerful.
It's the companies making the military equipment that seem to come out a head. Not ones actually fighting on either side.
The N. Koreans getting involved is good for nobody and just escalates an already precarious situation. China needs to step in and tell them to back off. Not their fight. Shortsighted to side with Russia, there’s no gain for them. Proxy war stays on the peninsula.
