Nope.
A day after Donald Trump beat Kamala Harris in the 2024 election, tweets about Elon Musk's alleged purchase of Fox News went viral. However, this is not true. Neither the media network nor the tech billionaire has issued a statement confirming the rumours. The Tesla and SpaceX chief had joked about buying 'CNN, Fox News, and every legacy media outlet' on November 1.

"I’m going to buy CNN, Fox News, and every legacy media outlet then change their logos to 🤡🤡🤡🤡… Thoughts?" Musk had tweeted earlier this month.

I am pleased with the direction our province is turning right now and optimistic of a future with PP. I am concerned with the trend for people to have to be on the far left or the far right. There are allot of good rationale people I know that are more in the middle and it seems that each side rejects those that are not “all in” enough.
Well said. I'm interested in understanding the criteria for being labeled as "Conservative." It seems that even if someone has consistently voted Conservative, they might still be called "snowflakes," "Liberals," or "lefties" if their beliefs aren't seen as rigid enough by others. I have friends and family who have voted for different parties based on where they stood at the time. We’re still able to have respectful discussions because we haven't fallen into the trap of polarization that some politicians have encouraged to turn citizens against one another. For my circle, there's life outside of politics.

Jettisoning relationships based on political affiliation is unfortunate if it happens, but sometimes it does. Just the way of life. I avoid political discussion with people who see the world rough different coloured lenses.

Could someone please provide the definition of "woke"? I read the forum rules again and thought maybe I didn't belong due to fact that I'm an Indian and don't think like most on here especially when it comes to politics and the forum was only for "conservatives" but the rules state the following.

Any topics/posts or discussion that includes race, ethnic groups, religion or sexual orientation are NOT acceptable and can result in a loss of message board privileges not excluding permanently. This is NOT the forum for such discussions.

Political discussion will be monitored closely. At the first sign of a political discussion going sideways, which may include fighting between forum members, flaming of political parties or individual politicians, the thread will be immediately deleted. Forum members that abuse this rule will lose their forum privileges.

I think there is lunacy on both sides and both sides are responsible for this divide. In a democratic society, I respect when the people have spoken and have chosen their leader. I may not agree with the results but if a majority of the people that have the right to vote and have had their say, then so be it. I won't cry if the party I chose to support didn't win and I won't jump for joy when the party I didn't vote for wins.

I hope a mod doesn't accuse me of "trolling" and if the owner of this site wants to change the rules, I will comply. It's his house not mine.[/QUOTE]

Like elk said the definition of Woke varies to everyone as it is a new made up term like vaccine. Anyway my definition of Woke is mentally ill people with strange and sick ideas trying to force their strange and sick ideas on the rest of the population.
I won’t comply with the Woke agenda no matter who it comes from.

I find it difficult to have a discussion with those voters who continually put said politicians into power giving them the opportunity to turn citizens against one another

The lady at the till, in The grocery store was whining big time. By time my stuff arrived to pay. She asked me whom I would choose. I said I was happy with outcome, however it not going to effect me, my family. I have no control, not my country. I keep politics out of the workplace, especially talking to customers. She got the point, and shut-up.

It also works exactly the same from the other end of the spectrum. For some people there is simply no tolerance for anything but hardline views be they either left or right. One side will vehemently chastize the other and vice versa. Conservatives certainly don't have a monopoly on hardline opinions.

Seems todays media focuses and feeds the extreme ends of political spectrum, ignoring the middle ground taking advantage of peoples political or social bias fostering the polarization of the public into either one camp or the other. In reality if the average citizen regardless of political views and their biases were to sit down and think about it, they would find they are more alike than different and mostly have similar goals in the end.

The media and political manipulation of peoples psychological bias into extreme adversarial views has been quite successful.. One must question the motive of that agenda.

As to liberals being woke, the party itself promotes a woke agenda, so if you support the party, you in fact support wokeness. If you support wokeness, you are therefore woke to at least some extent. The same is true for ndp supporters. I can't choose my relatives, so I coexist with them , and we avoid politics, but I do choose my friends, and I just happen to prefer the company of people that don't support a woke agenda.
Would calling anyone that votes liberal or ndp a traitor be considered extreme?

From Oct . 20th...

Yes Trudeau is a traitor, and his lap dogs the RCMP refuse to investigate his corruption , but the real traitors, are the fools that keep voting liberal/ndp. Trudeau is harmless without votes to elect him.

This was a Trump thread and went right over to JT .

In 15 years time many will realize how close we came in North America to having Millions more enter from the USA southern boarder destroying a once great country.

for what they have down to his family let alone him I really think he will just focus on deportation and getting the economy in order .

Them slim ball DNC suckers like Jimmy Kimbell crying just goes to show the back bone of her supporters and the whole DNC party .

Election is won, the senate is one and the house is very close to winning it ,I think they will take it ,a few sure take long to count .

Those legal eagles in new york who wanted to crush him better go look for different work ,the big dog is now in charge and justice shall be served .

I would say no. It just sounds like an opinion from a ticked off person that is sick of the Liberal/ NDP corruption and the people that harbour it.

With Trump elected and his control of the House AND Senate he will have no excuses, nobody to blame if he fails on his promises to bring world peace, repair the economy, etc...

He also will be praised and glorified if he accomplishes what he said he will do and will go down forever in history ....

I am hesitantly optimistic this could be good for Alberta - as long as he does not vilify Canada or the trade we do with the US.

I was at Chapter's earlier today and I asked the clerk if they had Donald Trump's new book on how to deport illegal immigrants.
She immediately said to me,
"Get the **** out of here and don't come back."
I said, "Yes, that's the one. Do you have it in paperback?"

You mean like Trudeau vilifies Trump?
If I was Trump I would make a fool out of Trudeau while he is still in power. He’s only got until spring though.

I have a elderly friends. Him and his wife watch msnbc alot. Her name actually is Karen.
I'm not joking she was actually crying when got election results. They are both so upset that it makes no sense. They hate Trump so bad it's crazy. I'm not even going to mention politics anytime soon around them because they are crazy. They keep saying third time a charm which is horrible . They claim to be conservatives but they are not. I m thinking they watch to much msnbc . They think Trump is basically the devil.
They have lost friends at senior center because of their political views. They get mad at anyone who would vote for Trump if they can't vote because not even in Canada

I have a couple coworkers like that. Just flabbergasted which if anything shows how out of touch a lot of these folks truly are. Sad state of affairs. Hopefully he does well the next 4 years so that they can’t cry afoul and if nothing else in 4 years we have an entirely new selection of candidates for president on both sides. I suspect Vance will be set up to run.

Seems to me he has some interesting people he's appointed to various offices, likely going to need a super extra large popcorn to last for the next year or two. Watched Pete Hegseth's interview with Shawn Ryan last nite, appears to be done before he knew about becoming SECDEF appointee. If he does what he's talking about there, it'll be a wild ride to watch, talking about some very serious house cleaning.

I think he is a great guy for this job! They need to get their heads out of their butts in a hurry. This guy will get rid of tampons in a men’s bathrooms.
His position and explanation of what’s going on between China and the US is quite eye opening…

Well the left are losing their minds over it, so it must be a good choice.

It's sad that upsetting the left is the tell that you're on the right track.

Well the left will keep up the outrage theatrics until the funds from China and Soros run out and the new cheques bounce. Then there will be silence.

This should happen as soon as China is busy quelling internal revote as their funds and economy dry up due to the tariffs. Will be good to see these miserable instigators get the Karna they deserve for being the global scam artist/ commie bully they are.
