This rifle shoots tipped fusions and berger hybrids the same poi to a decent distance. So wanted to see what the Bergers can do for myself. Although I was impressed with results of a quartering away shot, placed behind leg... i really couldnt aee using them for more than deer and blackbear. Even out of a magnum offering. The 270win 140gr berger hybrid did pass through. But holy potatoes. Looks like a pencil hole in hide in pic but the meat side is almost a twoonie. Exit carnage about 2.5 inch hole. Missed heavy bone on way out

Well done ABB! How far was the shot?
I have seen those Bergers do extreme damage, yes.

I held off till she had him right in front of me at 250 yards. A bit of a case of mistaken identity, I've been gunning for an older buck with more mass that I've been watching for 2 years, but the same rack. Sun was in my face, glassed him and counted points and thought he was my guy. But really, I wouldn't have passed even if I'd recognized he wasn't the bigger guy. Perfect hit with the .338 Federal, he didn't go 10 steps. We had him at the butcher an hour and 20 minutes after I dropped him. Nice to not track, just drive up and get him in the truck after a quick dress. He taped at 154 3/4"
Shot him from treeline behind me in picture.
