So I have a question guys: I used my general tag and have one supplemental tag left. I would like to go out again and try to fill it first thing in the morning hopefully in the wmu that allows supplemental tags and then go across the road to hunt ruffies in the zone that doesn’t allow supplemental tags…. If I get stopped by the F&W - am I in big trouble or what? How can I prove that the doe was shot in the adjacent wmu?
Tell the officer where the doe was harvested. All that is usually required unless you are of the suspicious variety then be prepared to indicate exact location of kill.
Imagine they encounter it a lot around Cynthia with 337 (supplemental) and 338 (no supplemental).
Take a photo of the deer at the kill site with your phone's gps turned on.
The photo metadata will have proof of location.

That’s my hunting grounds, lol! That’s why I was asking…
It's no different than shooting a moose or elk on a draw tag, far from home, in a different wmu, and being checked on the way home. As long as it is legally tagged, and proof of sex remains, most officers won't ask you to prove which wmu it was killed in.

Yes I do, thus I asked just to be sure how to act if I get pulled over.
We were pulled over and checked by the F&W on our way out of the 338 with 2 deers in a truck and the first thing the officer said is that there is no supplemental in his area! We used both general tags so we were ok but I then started to think of What If?
