Kitchen outlet doesn’t work, I don’t think it ever has since we’ve lived in house.
It’s a split receptacle, shows 120v from ground to hot in both outlets, but nothing from neutral to hot. From what I can tell it’s the only receptacle on the breaker.
Where should I start?

Either your neutral is not connected (at the outlet or at the breaker) or the neutral is broken somewhere along its path.

Easiest place to start is the outlet. Pull it out and see if neutral is connected properly.

If that is good, you will need to figure out which neutral going into the panel goes to that breaker and make sure it is connected properly.

And I hope you have only lived in that house for a few months.

Probably wire came off ,i've had this happen before.White wire I believe.

Could be a multitude of things. Best best is to start at the plug and go from there. Is the tie “bar” cut on both sides of the split plug? If so you will only have one side with neutral connection. Could be loose wire, could be broken wire, really hard to say.

Exactly, also check any marettes in the box - They may look to be installed correctly, but you can't be sure until you physically check them.

In one house I bought, the person who did the wiring in the basement must not of had strong fingers. Almost every box had loose marettes in it; plugs and fixtures were cutting out intermittently. On some you just barely had to touch them and a wire would pop out. Ended up going through every outlet and fixture, correcting them.

And make sure the breaker is off before you start poking around... Just as a disclaimer...

Everything at the outlet looks good as far as I can tell, the receptical is split and the connections look good. Same as with the breaker, but il have a closer look tomorrow. I’m starting to think there is something else on the circuit that I’m not aware of that could have a loose wire or something. I’m really hoping it’s not a nail or something in the wall that broke the wire.

There is another split receptacle on those circuits. It will be over the kitchen counter also.

If there are no marrettes in this outlet box. The other receptacle ( closer to the panel) is fed and looped to this outlet-(not right beside this one) probably has a bad neutral spliced pigtail (whites).

The two pole 15 amp breaker likely feeds more than one split duplex receptacles. Most likely the neutral conductor circuit is open in the first outlet box that this breaker feeds. Could have broken away from the receptacle screw or a poor splice. Make sure that the two neutral screws on the receptacle have continuity with each other if both are being used. Check that the break away tab between the neutral screws on the receptacle is in place.
