Default UPS sucks

Has anybody ever had issues with UPS? Seems like every time something comes shipped from them, there is a problem of some sort. I’m batting 0 for three lately.

Default Ups.

Yup, going through it now. Ordered an item from USA. requested USPS. ended up UPS. Got a delivery date of yesterday. No show. Now it’s supposed to be today. Trying to charge $100 brokerage fee for $600 item. Yes they suck.

If an outfit only ships via UPS I shop else where. The fees were ridiculous.

Yup, just received a flashlight I ordered, came home opened box, charge cord but clearly someone took the flashlight out of the box. Lol. So an hour drive to return it for shipping/refund….

Default UPS sucks.

Apparently, my package is sitting at the border. Yesterday they wanted a $2.00 surcharge to release the package. Today they want a $0.41 surcharge to let it go.The problem is they want you to give them your Visa information. Sounds like a scam to me so someone can get your info.

Default Ups

Mine gives me a choice to prepay, or pay on delivery.

Me as well. Started this about 2014.

Was living in Fort Nelson, they tried to deliver, we weren't home, so they sent it back to the warehouse. The warehouse was in Prince George, 800 km away. When you're a service company, and your service sucks, and the fees are outrageous, pretty easy to use someone else.

So to be fair, no, I guess I haven't had any issues with UPS for about a decade.

Getting screwed by UPS is a 'rite of passage'. Thanks to them I've learned how to clear my own packages through customs. I also make a point of not telling them what I've done, just to waste their time.

Don't get me wrong, they still get me every once and a while. last one was an RMA from a manufacturer. I had to pay the fees without delay as the product wasn't mine to **** around with. Ended up calling the manufacturer and they contacted UPS and discussed not using them for shipping. A week later I received a full refund cheque from UPS and an apology for the miscommunication.

It really depends on what UPS shipping "tier" is used. The base tier(s) all have stupid high brokerage fees, but the high tier do not.

I once saw a Vacmaster vacuum sealer on sale on Amazon for $950 shipped (about $500 off at the time) so I bought it. Turns out it was from a US seller who shipped it UPS 2 day. I was pretty horrified thinking about the bill I would be getting. Turned out to only be like $10 fee and the actual $47.50 in taxes.

Whenever something was shipped the cheap method (against my wishes, thanks for the "upgrade") I always had stupidly high fees.

Even though there are four UPS outlets in Medicine hat they will not accept auction orders for delivery because they are not "Actual UPS offices" boggles the mind. Like others have said if UPS is involved I take my business elsewhere!

I had a brokerage fee off $300 on a $400 item. Guessing it was the size and or weight of what I was shipping. One of these..

I told the brown bandit to get off my lawn and brokered it myself.

Took a 15 min trip into a CBSA office. I was lucky, there was one near the muni when it was still opened. Cost me something like $25 way back then.

Visited one of my neighbors today, she was bitching about a bunch of stuff she had ordered that was confirmed as delivered to her house and had bee arguing with Amazon about. I had the same problem and suggested she call the local drop off point in Olds. Yes, you have six here.
