Default Pity me

A number of years ago while landscaping in September I crushed 2 fingers on my right hand.
Stitches, reset, and finger casts.
Doc said no shooting.

I altered the finger casts and wore a big mitt while hunting in November. And I was able to harvest a moose and a buck. Skinning and butchering were a struggle and took twice as long to process.
But got it done.

Nurse did not like the look of my casts when I went in for follow up visit the doctor. Doctor scolded me as well. He was a hunter and knew I was shooting a 300 win mag.

I'm on pins and needles today...

Daytime use of the brace ended last Thursday, and tomorrow I have a chat with the surgeon - I'm going to ask him if the arm is magnum-ready for a little hunt or two in the next week...

(hoping hoping hoping...)

Went out two weeks back, hit a deer on the highway, destroyed my truck. Complete write off from insurance.

Now that I have a new truck and a few upcoming days off, COVID hit hard and I am struggling to move around the house. Hopefully I can get in the last weekend in November to chase a whitetail.
