Fuel line issue

I just replaced the motor end of my fuel line and it does not want to snap into place on my 25HP Merc.

I push it on hard and still no snap and if I squeeze the bulb it is leaking at the motor connection.

Any help is appreciated.

If you are trying to do it outside it just be a cold o-ring not letting the connector seat. warm up the connector and put a small coat of mineral oil on the barb before you press the connector on.

Thanks for the advise.

After taking a closer look, My hose clamp was too close to the fitting so all I had to do was move it . DUH Once again I demonstrated that I for sure am not that mechanic inclined.
