I got one for Christmas. It slammed stocker like 40 seconds into my first trip. Works great. The only thing I dont like is that the more aggressive wheels, sound like the rod is going off a lot, and you cant put a bell on it as its always going haha.
Also, was at the community lake, and pretty funny as everyother person skating by stopped to tell me a fish on. haha
The new Eskimo E40 is my fav upgrade of the year. Cuts like butter and so light compared to the Z71

Got a new heater for Christmas, the Hunting Buddy. Like a Big buddy heater.
I just got this fan from Amazon for the tent. 4 speeds, lights and you can charge your phone. Should work slick

The E40 is a very, very nice piece of kit. I was particularly impressed when I tried mine out the first time.

The Finisher, not sure I will be comfortable calling that one out with another buddy in the boat for awhile.
I could see some good applications for this ice fishing as well.
I have some really messed up crank baits like the Krej. I should have thought to patton it as a new style rather than trying to get them to shoot straight again.
Looks like I have some lures I will be getting to try out in the open water and on the ice.

The Finisher caught my eye for lakers. But then there are other lures that do what it does and my tackle box is only so big. Did I just say that?

ICE SZN is around the corner. I love gear and gadgets. What's everyone looking at this year for new gear?

So much stuff out there, I tend to wait a year or so and see how they play out in real time on the ice. Feedback from hard core hard water junkies is the best not someone pushing a sponsor.
Nice thing is having people that need the new stuff right away and sell off their year old stuff to fund the madness!!!!

Picked up an Eskimo Eskape 2800 of Marketplace the other day. Was in like new condition with the hitch and cover. Added the runners. Looking forward to getting it out on the ice this season.

Did you order the runners or were you able to find them locally? I'd like to put some on my 2400 this season...

I got them at TFH South. Mine are the 70”. I think the 2400 uses a shorter runner length and they had more of those in stock when I was there.
Was also going to mention that the Otter mini Sidekick works well on my 2800. I would assume the 2600 would be compatible too. Nice to have a little table area to put stuff.

I bought an ion Alpha 10" last season. I am still excited over that purchase. I love that auger.
Recently picked up a jawjacker, those picky rainbows won't go undetected now.

I used Otter Hyfax runners on my 2400. They are much better than Eskimo's U-shaped runner. Eskimo's 60" sled tracking kit for the 2400 also only included three runners when I built mine back in 2022. For the same price, Otter gives you six.

I think Eskimo may have changed the design of their runners as the ones I got for my 70” sled were solid, not U shape. They provided a countersink bit set to the correct depth with the mounting hardware.

Maybe they use solid ones for their 70" kit. I know they include more runners with the 64" & 70". They definitely aren't as thick as the Otter's though in any size I've come across.

Cabela’s is the best place to eyeball them all together in one spot. It’s not hard to use one company’s runners on another company’s sleds.
Building the son’s new Clam X-300 this weekend. Likely using Otter’s Hyfax Kit on it.
