Default Change rings or not

Just picked up a Carl Gustaf 3000 that came with 30mm rings already installed. Don't currently have a scope for it and was wondering should I swap them out for 1" and buy a basic 3-9x40 scope or keep them and spend some more on a 30mm scope? Caliber is 9.3x62

A 1" 3x9 will be fine .

It depends on what scopes you like, if you really prefer a 1" scope, then pick up some 1" rings.

Looks like I will keep the 30mm mounts. Found out they retail for close to $500. Now just need to find a nice Euro scope to complement them.

The Steiner Predator is a heck of a nice scope at the price point.

It's getting hard to find a 3-9x in Euro glass, not sure why.

Leupold is another good option.

Are they quality rings worth using? If they are not good why use them. I'm cheap but I've learned free isn't always good.

Some nice looking scopes. The Zeiss would be a good choice and the price is reasonable.

They are Recknagel. I’ve been told they are good quality and pretty high end.

I would use them and base scope off them.

Only if they seem the correct height.

Finding correct height can be troublesome.

Worst case is a new scope

I’m thinking of going with an older Kahles or Zeiss. Just to match the vintage of the rifle.
